IntelliTrans and ForestExpress To Connect Networks
Logistics Optimization Solutions to be Available via Integration Network

ATLANTA, March 31, 2003 – IntelliTrans LLC, a predominant supplier of logistics and supply chain optimization solutions, and ForestExpress, a leader in business-to-business integration and catalog content services for the forest products and allied industries, today announced an agreement to link their respective networks. As a result, both IntelliTrans and ForestExpress customers will reach additional business partners on an extended network, rather than establishing unique connections to both service providers.

IntelliTrans provides solutions that enable process manufacturers and commodity companies to manage and monitor their assets and inventory on a global basis, including load optimization, vendor managed inventory, fleet management services, and more. Connectivity between IntelliTrans and ForestExpress will facilitate electronic, system-to-system communications across the two networks and enables ForestExpress customers to leverage their single ForestExpress connection for all of their logistics needs.

“Our customers place high priority on automating their logistics transactions and activities,” commented Kevin Rathie, ForestExpress Vice President of Business Development. “First and foremost, we’re interoperating with partners who help us meet our customers’ most important needs, and IntelliTrans does just that.” Expected to be complete during the second quarter of 2003, ForestExpress and IntelliTrans expect live transactions over the connected networks by early summer.

Richard Gerstein, IntelliTrans CEO and Founder, added: “Connecting with ForestExpress is a good fit. We’re able to offer customers easy access to our services using electronic connections that are already established. It’s convenient for our customers and will allow them to take advantage of the efficiencies that accurate, complete, electronic supply-chain information can provide.”
