ATLANTA, GA, May 23, 2003– US Patent 6,572,319 "Modular Cell Elevator for Containership" has been issued to IntelliTrans via it's August Design subsidiary. The new device provides the means to greatly reduce the cycle time of containership cargo handling by providing the means to work in parallel with the container cranes. The Cell Elevator is placed on the deck of a containership when it arrives in port, and is able to raise and lower containers in the hatch of a ship independently of the crane.
